Rules
REGISTERING YOUR TEAM
1. Applications to enter the Fantasy Speedway League can only be made online via the FSL website at www.speedwaystar.net.
2. The entry fee per team is £3.50 payable via secure server. 3. There is no limit on the number of entries per person. 4. Pinegen Limited reserves the right to refuse to accept team names which may be considered offensive or inappropriate. Team names that are unacceptable will be replaced by the promoter's name.
RULES OF THE GAME 5. All teams must include seven different riders and the total combined average of those seven riders must not exceed 45.00 points. 6. No team may include more than two riders from the same Elite or Premier League team. For the purposes of the Fantasy League, real-life transfers during the course of the season are ignored, i.e., whichever team a rider starts the season with, he is deemed to be with that team for the remainder of the season. 7. Only riders who feature on the Rider List are eligible for selection. Pinegen Limited will not enter into correspondence on the inclusion or non-inclusion of individual riders. 8. Points will be allocated to riders based on match reports published in Speedway Star and will include any bonus points scored. No correspondence will be entered into on the allocation of points to riders, except in the case of an error transposing them from Speedway Star. 9. The Fantasy Speedway League table will be updated weekly on the website each Wednesday lunchtime. 10. The following competitions will count towards the Fantasy Speedway League: all Elite League matches (including all play-offs), all Premier League matches (including all play-offs), the end-of-season relegation/promotion play-off, all Elite League Knockout Cup and Premier League Knockout Cup matches, and all Premier Trophy matches, including semi-finals and final. No other competitions will count towards the Fantasy Speedway League. 11. Guest appearances do not count towards the Fantasy Speedway League. 12. Riders will retain their start-of-season average for the duration of the 2010 competition. 13. New riders can be added to the Rider List at any time.
TRANSFERS 14. The promoter of each Fantasy League team has one transfer option per calendar month. 15. Transfers will become effective immediately as your transfer will take effect from the second you click 'continue', but it must be registered before 19.00 if points scored by new signings in that night's matches are to count. If your transfer is registered after 19.00, it will not take effect until the following day. In the case of afternoon/evening meetings, transfers must be registered before the meeting starts.
PRIZES 16. The winner of the 2010 Fantasy League will be the entrant whose team has accumulated the highest points total at the end of the season. The winner of the 2010 Fantasy League will receive £1,500. In the event of a tie, the entrant whose team scored the most points in the final week of the competition will be declared the winner. If there is still a tie, the entrant whose team has spent the most number of weeks at the top of the table will be declared the winner. 17. The promoter of the team finishing second will receive £500 and the promoter of the team finishing third will receive £250. The promoters of the teams finishing fourth and fifth will each receive £100 and the promoters of the teams finishing sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth will all receive a six-month subscription to Speedway Star. In the event of a tie for positions two to five, the entrant whose team scored the most points in the final week of the competition will be declared the winner. If there is still a tie, prize money will be divided equally. 18. Prizes will be awarded to those Fantasy League promoters finishing top of all the entries from their favourite club, i.e., to the top-scoring Belle Vue fan, the top-scoring Coventry fan, the top-scoring Eastbourne fan, etc. This will be subject to a minimum of 50 fans entering per club. 19. The promoter of the team scoring most points in any calendar month from April to September inclusive will win the Manager of the Month prize, to be announced online and in Speedway Star on a monthly basis.
GENERAL 20. Pinegen Limited will look into any complaints regarding the Fantasy Speedway League but the company's decision is final and it shall not be obliged to enter into any correspondence regarding the competition. 21. Pinegen Limited reserves the right to refuse entry to any application which, in the company's consideration, does not comply with the rules and regulations of the Fantasy Speedway League or which contravenes the spirit of the Fantasy Speedway League. 22. Employees of Pinegen Limited, or their relatives, are allowed to enter the competition but will not be eligible for any of the prizes. In this event, the prize will be awarded instead to the next eligible team. 23. No substitutes or cash alternatives to any prizes offered. 24. The Fantasy League competition is run by Pinegen Limited and any correspondence should go directly to them. 25. Pinegen Limited has absolute discretion to amend or waive the rules.
